I’m so excited, I just can’t hide it, as the song goes. The Longing is almost ready for publication and will be available for pre-order on the 15th April. I will upload it after a few more tweaks onto Amazon, and you can buy it worldwide, in both kindle and paperback formats.
On my podcast show, I’ve recorded the first chapter to give you a taster, and it sounds good. Go on over and take a listen, the link is at the top of the page.

“I want a baby,” Stephen says, stabbing the leaflet on the table with a pale pink polished nail.
Stephen, spoilt, is used to having his own way, flying into rages and disappearing in his second best present, a red classic MGB, when denied his latest desire. Paul, his husband, a fitness trainer, can’t cope with a baby, he has enough drama from Stephen to contend with.
Stephen’s journey to have their baby begins in a sleepy Dorset village, where drones deliver mail, driverless cars clog the highways and planning laws abandoned. Designing his own home lands him lucrative contracts across the world, but old prejudices stand in his way of realising his dream, a costly and traumatic longing to reproduce.
Will Paul’s principles overrule Stephens emotional reasonings in their quest for a family? Will the burden of the financial cost fracture their love for one another?
I’m too excited to write any more, breathe Jax, breathe. I hope you buy and love reading about Stephen and Paul’s pioneering quest to have a family, as much as I’ve loved researching and writing about them.
