Whoo hoo! The Longing is available for pre-order from your local Amazon online store. It will be available in ebook and paperback formats and to read for free on Kindle Unlimited from the publication date 7th May. Not too long to wait.
In my previous blog post I read the first chapter as a taster, I hope you read or listened and enjoyed the post.
What started out as a seed of an idea from a few lines in a British newspaper, over time developed into The Longing. The few lines celebrated a breakthrough in transplant surgery, giving women who’d gone through chemotherapy the opportunity to have a child. The outline began as a tirade from me about men robbing women of the uniqueness of giving birth. As the characters of Stephen and Paul grew, they took over and determined the ultimate story. Their love for each other, what they were prepared to go through in their quest, highlighted for me, the tremendous obstacles gay couples encounter when deciding to have a family of their own.
I hope you enjoy reading about Stephen and Paul and their quest for a family as much as I enjoyed researching and writing the story.
