Amalie’s Perilous Adventure
I’d re-published Amalie’s Perilous Journey on the 26th of February after a rewrite and re-edit and I was feeling pretty good with my achievement. The re-doing was because I wasn’t happy with where the original Amalie story began or ended, but now I am, and I hope you’ll love the new version as much as I do.
After publishing, I returned to my normal day of writing, editing, and setting up the next book, the third and last in the series.
The second in the Bronze-Age series, Amalie and the Slavers, is in draft form and waits for the first round of edits.
As I said, that was on the 26th of February:
SPF Writing Boot Camp

On the 27th Susie Quinn of ‘SPF Write a Bestseller’ course, announced she was running an online bootcamp for writers. The challenge, to write 2,000 words a day or 40,000 words in total for March. I thought, this is a perfect opportunity to get book three written.
I duly signed up, committed myself to write 2,000 words per day, set up the book package, cover, premise, summary, and using Scrivener, set up the outline, chapters, etc. So before writing a word of Amalie, I spent three full days getting ready, to begin the challenge.
Now week one has passed and I’ve written 10,000 words. Amalie is learning to hone her skills and Roble has disappeared. Oh dear!
I’m still not sure of the title, but along the lines of Amalie’s New Family/Clan/Tribe, and it will be the last in the series, as there are other girls and their horses waiting for me to write about them.
March Middle-Grade Book Promotion
Then! Du-du-du! Excuse my terrible impression of a dramatic pause.
The Middle Grade Facebook group I belong to organised a promotion for March. On a first come first served basis, thirty-one author members of the group added their books, social media, etc to a spreadsheet. The idea being everyone on the promotion would promote that day’s selected author. My day is on the 9th!
So every day since the 1st and until the 31st, I’ve been, and will be, supporting other middle grade writers by posting their books on all my social media platforms.
If you click the link on the promotion poster, it will take you to a single blog post detailing all thirty-one books.
Each book is discounted. Some are free, some are 99c, and some come with goodies, and well worth downloading onto your reading device, whether it’s a Kindle, tablet, phone, laptop or other.
And Finally.
The eBook of Amalie’s Perilous Journey is FREE!

My promotion day with the March Middle-Grade Book Promo is on the 9th March, but because there are members living as far away in New Zealand to the East and as far as California in the west, I made it FREE for three days. The 8th, 9th and 10th of March, so grab yourself a copy and ride with Amalie as she races to the coast to beat the boatmen.
And Last.
Thank you for reading this far. I haven’t posted much these last few months, but I find I can’t write, edit, learn to be a better writer, etc, etc and write informative posts, so please accept my apologies for my lack of communications.
And if you download and read Amalie’s Perilous Journey, and enjoy her story, please leave a review and join my mailing list to receive news of my next releases. The button is on the home page.
