A Whisper from the Past: The Forgotten Legacy begins

Champagne corks popped in our house last week, marking the culmination of a two-year journey. My latest novel, the first in an exciting new series, has finally taken flight to my trusted ARC readers.

This tale has led me down fascinating paths of research. From the intricacies of 1930s Spanish Civil War weaponry to the humble attire of mid-20th century Spanish peasants, every detail required meticulous attention. My partner, John, breathed a sigh of relief as my barrage of peculiar questions finally ceased. Our elderly neighbours, Spanish friends, and countless historical resources have been invaluable in breathing life into this story.

As the manuscript evolved, so did its identity. The title shifted several times, each version striving to capture the essence of a world on the brink of the Second World War. But this isn’t a war story—not in the traditional sense. It’s a testament to the unsung heroines who fought battles beyond the frontlines, challenging Franco’s Nationalists in ways uniquely their own.

After much deliberation with trusted confidants, I’m thrilled to announce the series title: “The Forgotten Legacy”. The first in the series; “Fede’s Letters”.

Who is Fede? What secrets do her letters hold? All will be revealed in due time.

Soon, I’ll unveil the cover that will introduce Fede to the world. It’s a thrilling moment—watching my literary child take its first steps into the realm of readers.

Join me on this journey through time, where forgotten voices finally find their echo. The legacy awaits discovery—will you be among the first to unearth it?
